In October 2005 and 2007 I went to Ghana, West Africa to teach photography to kids from the impoverished neighborhood of Nima, Accra. This project is something I designed and executed on my own, with the intentions of offering an outlet to Ghanaian youth. Through photography the kids were given an opportunity to show the world what their country is really like. I anticipate returning to Ghana with 6 San Francisco youth photographers in June 2008.
